After being a member of this site for nearly 6 years I think it's time I make my departure. I loved this site and for a while it was everything I could hope for in an interactive art community. It helped me meet people (even led me to visit Dallas) and share my work. But over the last few years it's definitely lost its place in my life. I never really got a steady following of people interested in my work. In fact, many of my pieces had little-to-no views, even on more developed work. At the same time I'm not as excited about what I see on here anymore. Many of the artists I liked either stopped uploading or I stopped being interested in. Likewise, I haven't been too enthusiastic about taking the time to upload my work only to have it go without notice.

When I started this account I was just beginning to test the waters of art college. Now I'm a full-fledged working artist and this just isn't cutting it. The site has changed since I started. The structure of the site itself and it's interface hasn't gotten any better in 6 years either. The focus has changed so much too: when a piece in traditional media is relegated to some vague "traditional drawing" category but there are super specific categories for anthro drawings, well... fine arts don't have a home here anymore.
